WIP: February Lady take two

My last February Lady came out too big and the yarn was too drapey. I picked up some beautiful yarn from the soon to be re-orged and re-named Sanguine Gryphon called QED in a seasonal colorway "Fractal". It is a variegated blend of brown and green, same as my eyes haha.

Guernsey Wrap

Finished my Guernsey Wrap! Pattern by Jared Flood, Yarn is Brooklyn Tweed Shelter in Woodsmoke. My mom blocked it for me. Overall very easy and fun pattern. Guernsey is a style of knitting where patterns are made from purls and knits. Shelter is a beautiful yarn, I need to make something else from this stuff! I opted for a lighter color than the original so the pattern would show up better.

Soaps!

Soaps!, originally uploaded by Auggy D'Auggy.

Got some silicone novelty ice cube tray molds for making soaps: hearts, stars, jewels, and braaaaaaains! The first batch of brains ended up looking like an anuerism because the liquid soap coloring I used pooled at the bottom. For the first batch of jewels, I just a little too much color and the same thing happened. Second batch of both came out much better.

February Lady Frenzy!!!

February Lady for Goose, originally uploaded by Auggy D'Auggy.

Finally finished Goose's sweater. She came up that weekend for the Nordic Knitting Conference and we blocked it so she could wear it.

I started mine right after I finished hers and I just have to do the sleeves!

WIP: February lady sweater

WIP: February lady sweater, originally uploaded by Auggy D'Auggy.

Finally finished the body of the February Lady Sweater I'm making for my mom. With moving to a new apartment and all the craziness of life and work etc I haven't had much time for knitting. Next up is the sleeves which should go pretty fast.

Sock Lamb

Sock lamb, originally uploaded by Auggy D'Auggy.

Lamb made from some cheap fuzzy socks I picked up at a drug store. I made the dress from a hand towellette I got from Daiso for about $1.50. The face is felt and buttons.
